We at Titus Flux know that quality is important to you, and we take it very seriously too. We employ a closed loop system to ensure that only your weld slag comes back to you in the form of usable reclaimed flux. This ensures traceability and consistency.

The successful reclaiming of SAW Slag has been utilized by Industry since 1975. The process is supported by decades of testing and empirical scientific evidence conducted by leading Weld Regulatory bodies throughout the world.

Here’s how the science works:

1. During the welding process the energy from the electric arc ‘fixes’ the chemical elements/oxides in the molten flux pool.
2. This ambient heat then seals all these ‘fixed’ elements/oxides together the molten flux cools and solidifies to “slag”.
3. Once these elements/oxides become ‘fixed’ in the Slag they can never be changed – they will permanently retain the same chemical bond & properties as the virgin flux powder.
4. As a result, the Slag can be re-crushed back into NEW FLUX POWDER without losing any of their original properties.
5. Titus reprocesses the slag into New Flux Powder by utilizing a state of the art Cage Mill system that is identical to how Virgin Flux is manufactured.
6. To ensure complete Quality Control – we employ a sophisticated array of industrial magnets, vacuum systems and centrifugal force density separators to remove any contaminants that may have been picked up along the way.
7. The result is a New Flux Powder that retains all the ingredients and properties of its original form.
8. The New Flux Powder is then tested, packaged and returned to the customer.
